For Nannies
NANNY REQUIREMENTS
- must be able to pass a background check
- must be at least 18 years of age
- have at least 1 year of nanny experience
- CPR certified or willing to obtain
- must be a legal citizen
- have a valid drivers license with good driving record
- valid references
OUR PROCESS
1. Conduct Phone Interview: Chesapeake Nannies will conduct a phone interview discussing your experience and credentials.
2. Complete the guided online profile and private headshot. Identity documents use a separate, restricted Microsoft 365 upload.
3. Background/Employment Check: Criminal, social security, sex offender and driving record investigation. Employment and personal reference checks will also be done at this time.
4. Nannies will be referred to potential families.
5. Once chosen, Chesapeake Nannies sets up initial interview between nanny and family.
6. We will touch base after family/nanny interview and discuss details of hire.
7. Ongoing support. We keep in contact with our nannies and families even after a placement has been made.
EXPECTED NANNY SALARIES
The average salary range for permanent nanny positions in Annapolis is between $20-30+ per hour, pre-tax. The range depends on the number of children cared for and job responsibilities. The salary of a live-in nanny varies based on the requirements of the position and the nanny's experience. Room and board are also factored into the amount paid.
